Da Vinci, a robotic surgeon, has celebrated its 10,000th procedure after nearly 20 years of helping patients. It has been at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital for almost two decades, and its arms are operated by human surgeons.

Researchers at the University of California, Santa Barbara, have reached new heights by ignoring the constraints of biological models. Their 30-centimeter-tall jumper can spring more than 30 meters into the air—roughly the elevation of a 10-story building and 100 times its own height.

It is interesting to see what could happen in the future. It shows that the world is forever changing and that things once imagined to be unlikely or impossible could come to pass. Even if it doesn’t happen, it is nice to see the planning stage of a design. When will these glasses become reality?

Coding ¬ = Computer Science

Why coding alone is only a small part of Computer Science. I’m finding it increasing misunderstood by pupils wishing to study Computer Science at Uni. Just a little experience in HTML or a basic python course doesn’t really even introduce the broad range of disciplines that Computer Science teaches.
